"We just received your book in the mail and I just couldn't wait to read it to my children even though it was 10:00 pm!! My 9 year old son and 4 year old daughter stayed glued to my side throughout the entire story. My daughter kept noticing all the illustrations of the little forest creatures also acting out the main characters roles. I asked my son what he liked best and he said the history part! This was incredible since he is a huge Roald Dahl fan and rarely ever chooses books pertaining to history.
Your book has a very professional look to it!!"

"I just read Toliver in Time: For a Fourth of July Celebration. It is FABULOUS. And the illustrations are TOO cute. What a wonderful team you and Denise make. I am proud to carry your book in my shop and proud to be an American:)"

"Toliver in Time: for a Fourth of July Celebration" by Connie Hein is a fascinating, educational book about our nation's history. It is presented by Ms. Hein in a fun way with the idea of a Time Machine, yet still conveying the necessary facts about our nation's foundation. The cute squirrel character of Toliver will appeal to young elementary school children. The book will surely instill messages about patriotism, justice, freedom, and honoring the United States of America."

"I bought Toliver in Time: Fourth of July Celebration for my dearest friend’s 6 year old son for Christmas. He got several other books, but he told me he liked this one best. The story line was great, good history, teaches children about the meaning of what we celebrate & the illustrations were awesome. Writer & illustrator compliment each other. Each book can only get better!!! Thank you."
