She started drawing in high school and enjoyed exploring other mediums in college. She graduated from Colorado University with a degree in elementary education. She incorporated her artwork in the two books she wrote as handbooks for preschool providers Homespun Curriculum and Before and After School Activities - both published by Humanics, Inc. She also uses her talent to enhance her career as a wonderful kindergarten/first grade teacher. She lives in Fort Collins with her husband and daughter and has a son attending CU in Boulder.
