She grew up in Fort Collins then moved with her family to Windsor, Colorado in 1970. After attending college in Texas she came back and married her high school sweetheart, Edwin. Together they have raised three wonderful children and are now experiencing the great joy of grandparenting. She was inspired to start her writing career in the early 1980's by her two loving grandfathers. Her paternal grandfather always told her wonderful stories of his childhood in Texas. Her maternal grandfather was a published author whose passion was writing and teaching people about God. She has been very passionate about getting the Toliver in Time series published because of her love of children and her desire to teach them what true patriotism means.
